Edu Global School Medan meriahkan Hari Pendidikan Nasional dengan semangat kebersamaan dan kreativitas

Pada hari Jumat, 2 Mei 2025, seluruh warga sekolah—mulai dari dewan guru, karyawan, hingga ratusan siswa—berkumpul di Lapangan Edu Global untuk melaksanakan upacara bendera dalam rangka memperingati Hari Pendidikan Nasional. Cuaca yang cerah sempurna menemani jalannya rangkaian acara, menggambarkan optimisme seluruh civitas akademika dalam menatap masa depan pendidikan.

Upacara dimulai tepat pukul 07.00 WIB dengan penghormatan kepada Sang Merah Putih. Bertindak sebagai inspektur upacara, Kepala Sekolah Edu Global School Medan, Bapak Drs. Hendra Wijaya, M.Pd., menyampaikan amanat tentang pentingnya inovasi dalam pembelajaran. Beliau menyerukan agar setiap siswa berani bereksperimen dan guru terus meningkatkan metode pengajaran agar lebih interaktif dan kontekstual.

Dalam sambutannya, Bapak Hendra juga menyinggung tema Hari Pendidikan Nasional tahun ini, yaitu “Pendidikan Merdeka, Guru Berkarya, Siswa Berprestasi.” Tema tersebut dijadikan pijakan bagi sekolah untuk terus berbenah: melahirkan kegiatan kolaboratif antara guru dan siswa, hingga penciptaan karya ilmiah remaja. Sebagai contoh, Edu Global School Medan telah mengembangkan program “Science Fair” internal yang memamerkan proyek-proyek ilmu pengetahuan buatan siswa.

Setelah upacara resmi, rangkaian kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan lomba pidato bahasa Indonesia dan English debate untuk tingkat SMP dan SMA. Para peserta tampil percaya diri di atas panggung sederhana yang dibangun di sisi lapangan. Dewan juri terdiri dari guru Bahasa dan Ekstra Kurikuler Bahasa Inggris, yang menilai aspek penguasaan materi, gladness of speech, serta kemampuan retorika. Lomba-lomba ini bukan hanya memupuk semangat kompetisi sehat, tetapi juga meningkatkan kecakapan berkomunikasi siswa.

Tak ketinggalan, bazar edukatif memeriahkan suasana siang hari. Stall-stall bertema literasi dan inovasi teknologi memamerkan buku-buku bacaan antologi serta robot sederhana hasil rakitan klub Robotika. Para pengunjung—termasuk orang tua murid—antusias menyaksikan demonstrasi coding dan workshop singkat membuat kerajinan dari bahan daur ulang. Bazar ini sekaligus menjadi wujud nyata bahwa pembelajaran bisa berlangsung di luar kelas, dengan pendekatan yang menyenangkan dan aplikatif.

Penutupan acara ditandai oleh pelepasan balon hijau-putih sebagai simbol harapan bahwa pendidikan di Indonesia terus berkembang, lestari, dan memberi ruang bagi setiap individu untuk tumbuh optimal. Melalui semangat Hari Pendidikan Nasional, Edu Global School Medan meneguhkan komitmen untuk menjadi pelopor pendidikan berkualitas di Sumatera Utara. Dengan kreativitas dan kolaborasi, sekolah ini bertekad mencetak generasi cerdas yang siap bersaing di era global.
