Exciting Outing Class: SMP Edu Global Visits Medan Fire Department for Fire Safety Education


 

Medan, March 2, 2024 – SMP Edu Global students had an unforgettable learning experience during their outing class to the Fire Prevention and Firefighting Department of Medan. This educational visit aimed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills on how to respond effectively to fire emergencies and gas leaks.

The students were warmly welcomed by the firefighters, who provided them with a comprehensive briefing on fire safety measures, emergency response techniques, and the importance of early detection in preventing disasters. Through interactive demonstrations, students learned how to use fire extinguishers, evacuate safely in case of fire, and handle situations involving gas leaks.


One of the highlights of the visit was a live simulation where students got the chance to practice extinguishing a controlled fire under the supervision of experienced firefighters. This hands-on activity gave them a real sense of the challenges and responsibilities of fire prevention and emergency response.

“We want students to be aware of fire hazards and know how to react properly in emergency situations. Educating them at an early age can help reduce panic and improve safety for themselves and others,” said one of the firefighters leading the training session.


Students also had the opportunity to explore fire trucks and learn about the advanced equipment used by firefighters in rescue operations. The visit not only provided valuable safety knowledge but also sparked interest among some students in pursuing careers in firefighting and emergency response.
