On Wednesday, May 7th, the students of Grade IX at SMP EDU Global School Medan demonstrated both their language proficiency and personal aspirations in a special English Conversation class led by Ms. Dinda Kholilah Saragih. The session focused on future career planning and featured student presentations conducted entirely in English — a valuable exercise in both public speaking and critical thinking.
Several students took center stage to present their envisioned career paths, including Takamasa Nishioka, Dhia Fakhira Siregar, Naura Marsya Almirah, and Muhammad Rafa Ikrama. Each of them showcased not only fluent English but also a well-thought-out plan that reflected their interests, values, and long-term goals. The audience, comprised of classmates and teachers, listened attentively and provided positive feedback and thoughtful questions.
Takamasa Nishioka shared his ambition of becoming an Pilot, driven by his fascination with aircraft and innovation. Naura Marsya Almirah discussed her dream of becoming a psychiatrist, inspired by her passion for understanding human behavior and helping others. Meanwhile, Dhia Fakhirah Siregar captivated the room with her vision of becoming a author, highlighting creativity and cultural expression as her core motivations. Muhammad Rafa Ikrama rounded off the session with a confident talk about pursuing a career in Mechanical Technician advancement in the modern world.
Ms. Dinda praised the students not only for their command of English but also for their clarity of thought and confidence. “It’s important for students to start envisioning their futures early,” she noted. “This presentation gave them the opportunity to reflect on their dreams while also practicing essential communication skills.”
