Medan, October 30, 2024 – Students of SMP Edu Global Medan had an unforgettable experience during their outing class to the Main Base of the Indonesian Navy (Lantamal I) in Medan. This educational trip provided students with an in-depth understanding of the Indonesian Navy's role in national defense, particularly through an exclusive tour of a naval warship.
During the visit, students were introduced to various types of weaponry used on the warship, including advanced defense systems that safeguard Indonesia’s maritime territory. Naval officers demonstrated how these weapons function, explaining their strategic importance in naval operations.
In addition to learning about the weaponry, the students explored different rooms on the warship, each serving a unique purpose. From the command center, where naval officers oversee operations, to the engine room that powers the massive vessel, students gained firsthand knowledge of how a warship operates. The officers also explained the significance of each department in ensuring smooth maritime missions.
This outing class was not only educational but also inspiring for the students, as they got to witness the discipline, dedication, and teamwork required in the navy. The experience sparked curiosity and admiration for the armed forces, with many students expressing newfound interest in maritime defense and naval careers.
